An Easy Way to Plan, Promote, Find, and Attend Events

Paul Glazowski,

Are you someone in search of something that helps you get the most out of real-world experiences? Are you more into attending book signings than buying books from folks who attend them? Are you looking for the easiest way to get a comprehensive look at upcoming music performances in your area without checking out your favorite bands’ Myspace pages? Don’t even know what you’re looking for, but still want to look? If so, read on. If not, read on anyway.

Eventful is a generic-looking information service for people, by people. And by people I mean you… and him, and her, etc, etc. On your first visit, located beneath the requisite search bars and tabs one would find on any such info engine, are categories from which to choose. Below those categories, a segment labeled ‘Popular Venues’ is presented. The more populous the region in which you’re living, the more events you’ll be able to find stuff on.

It’s not surprising to find local shows and gigs of both well-known and obscure bands dominating Eventful. Book signings aren’t the coolest of the cool, sure, but they’re there too if that’s your thing. The same goes for science demonstrations, arts and crafts gatherings, political protests, protests, fairs, museum showings and more. If you try hard enough, you’ll probably be able to find nothing at all, but then why bother?

Do you happen to literally be right smack dab in the middle of the boondocks? Well, then you might be out of luck, but if you happen to be way out in the wild, chances are you aren’t sitting in front of a screen, mouse in hand reading Profy to begin with. Of course, that you should definitely try to do. Profy good for you.
