coComment – Manage Your Opinion
12/25/2006, 1 year 8 months ago

It is well-known that sometimes comments to a blog post constitute a necessary addition to the post itself. Sometimes a discussion in the comments is even much more informative than the original post.
We also know that users tend to comment to other posts more than they write in their own blogs. But although the performance of blog platforms is constantly enhanced, that of commenting features remains the same (except for some necessary minor improvements).
But coComment – the startup launched in February – was intended to change the situation dramatically. They offered users a tool for management of comments. coComment enables user to stay tuned and never lose a discussion in comments to various posts in multiple blogs.
The procedure required is quite simple: you only need to register and install Firefox extension or a special bookmarklet for several other browsers. After that the user will be able to track all his or her comments. It is also possible to tag comments: this helps to organize various threads within coComment interface.
Currently coComment supports several popular blog services, including WordPress, Flickr, Blogger and several other. You are welcome to read the full list of supported platforms here.
The service is really popular among bloggers – so it is no wonder that it has managed to attract attention of investors: last week we got to know that Japanese Netage Capital Partners, Inc. has paid $1.5 million for 40% of coComment stake.
