American Idol fans will now be able to search the hakia American Idol GalleryTM. Fans of the popular American Idol talent show can simply type in "American Idol" to see hakia's innovative GalleryTM results displayed.
In a post a few days ago we tested hakia.com to test this newly released aspect of hakia. To be frank, we loved it! It looks like hakia is pulling out all the stops in an effort to be the first-est and best-est of 2007's challengers to Goggle. The meaning based search engine now uses hakia Galleries to categorize search results. The effect is to simplify and narrow search results and to categorize the results into tabs for more simple and relevant selection by hakia users.
The search engine's unique features, with this latest announcement, will allow Idol fans to see an American Idol search broken down into:
- Headlines
- TV Profiles
- What channel it is on?
- Show Description and Premise
- Episode Guides and Plot Summaries
- Cast and Crew
- News and Interviews
- Photographs and Pictures
- Fans Sites and Weblogs
- Merchandise
- Show Trivia
- Criticism
- Commentary and Interpretations
- Myths and Controversies
The hakia Galleries simplify, narrow and categorize searches like no search engine before. These convenient categorized results make searching fun again! Wait, there is more!
In another release yesterday by BusinessWire, hakia announced that they will be using Ask.com to provide the sponsored search results that occupy the right aside bar of the engine's uncluttered pages. This collaboration marks the first phase of hakia's ad based monetization strategy and brilliantly brings Ask.com fans into the hakia sphere. Hakia is in the process of completing its developmental evolution, which is expected to be ongoing throughout the 2007.
This great search engine is not wasting any time in rolling out one feature after another so far. I was super impressed with the Galleries and am even more impressed with the way their ad model is looking. For the hakia user, this system of organization will be quite refreshing for sure. The people at hakia are sharp folks, and are currently leaving other contenders in the dust in my opinion.
The combination of technology, innovation, affiliation and close attention to detail we see at hakia is indicative of something very special. We look forward to even greater things in the near future, at this rate that will be day after tomorrow!
