Don’t Wait to Be Bought, Just Try eBay

Apparently, Feedo Style, an app that allows you to include RSS and ATOM feed content on your web site, has decided to take matters into their own hands and sell the product outright using an auction on eBay .
With Feedo Style, you can style your own widget, include virtually any content that has an RSS feed, and if you want to buy the whole company, bidding starts at $5,000.00 USD. According to the auction text, the sale will include the domain, concept, backend, service, logos, legal rights to the name, and 10 hours of support on getting up and running. That seems to be a bargain price!
The auction also details why the company is being sold; its owners have several other projects that they are working on, and feel that the project is best turned over to another team to continue its growth. With both Free and Pro Editions, it would seem that the service already has at least an initial revenue stream, and has a starting price that would allow a couple of developers to take it over, provided that the bidding doesn't get too high. The auction details include possibilities for growth potential and current stats on the service's user base.
I'm more curious about why a product with an existing revenue stream wouldn't at least be allowed to fund some of the other projects the team is working on if it's already making money, but I'm also unsure of the legality surrounding sale of the rights. While the auction is listed in US Dollars, Feedo Style's parent company is located in Italy, meaning it's an international deal that could possibly involve quite a bit of legal wrangling.
