Be fast and win an invitation to Beta test Joost!

Okay, it's time to get Joost! For those of you who have not been Joost, and even those of you who are “juiced” but would like to test Joost. Profy is having a contest because of the overwhelming response to our past articles dealing with one of the most innovative and exciting Web TV startups thisyear.

I have emailed several dozen visitors who requested invitations since our last Joost article, and sent invitations to those that had not already received them from other sources. So, the little crossword in this post will lead Joost hopefuls to their just reward.

We wanted to provide invitations for everyone, but obviously there are not enough to let the world in yet. So, the first contestants to find the crossword keyword will get Joost!

We know you will have fun with the contest and we will work diligently to get Joost to release more invitations if enough of you still want to test this Web 2.0 phenomenon. For now we have enough to invite many of you to the hottest ticket in town.

Instructions:

Complete the puzzle as fast as you can, obtaining the secret keyword (you must have Java enabled in your browser for the crossword to work).
Mail the word you will get at 5 across to contest@profy.com.
Make sure your email contains your “exact” email address, with no ambiguity.
The fastest contestants with the answer will receive an invitation via email from Joost!

Pretty simple huh? Please make sure you are very specific about your email and that it works. The invitations are used even if you do not receive the message and this has led to a few problems in me sending them before. We have a generous number of invitations from the great people at Joost but they are not unlimited. Please give the folks at Joost your feedback as they are very interested in making their TV network the very best on the web.

We have invited everyone who sent us the right solutions but we still have some invites to distribute. And no, it’s not too late for you to send emails, go ahead.
By the way, on Thursday only beta testers will be able to login to Joost, no new invitations will be distributed - and that’s until public launch of Joost. So be fast, send your emails to get the invites.

Wow! I wish everyone could get in, and I feel bad for all those who missed the window of opportunity here. Please understand that Joost stopped allowing invitations as announced above.

I have written in several comments already that all the Joost invitations expired almost a month ago and they do not accept any new beta testers. So no, no one is receiving invitations anymore. And if you read the post, it was clear that to get an invite you were supposed to solve the puzzle, not simply put your email in the comments. While those who send the solutions by email always get a personal reply from me explaining the situation (and they all will get invites if we can invite more people).
