i’m in like with you - invites for friends

Charles Foreman founder of I'm in like with you sent us unlimited invites and news about their revamped interface and other features today. IILWY is a flirting/dating service that engages users through a system of bidding. Essentially, you browse profiles and/or games going on - and bid on an opportunity to contact the person initiating the game. So just how bad do you have to have that girl/guy huh? Our readers can access IILWY for the next two days via this Profy link to I'm in like with you.
The new version of IILWY gives the space a whole new feel as the developer has migrated nearly everything to flash. New features include; improved navigation, breaking news feeds and ticker, enhanced profile tools and most interestingly a twitter like chatter interface. My good friend Muhammad Saleem really scooped me on IILWY's latest update and his comprehensive review reveals more in depth coverage.
Online Friends Revisited
I just wrote a post yesterday about friendships online and thought the I'm in like with you story could have come along at a more appropriate time. I instantly wondered how many great friendships or even marriages have come about because of the level of communication afforded us via the Web. Of course there are horror stories with regard to online dating sites, but from personal experience physical world nightmares are no less abundant. IILWY and innovative sites like it put people in proximity to others they would not otherwise have ever known. This particular rendition of a dating venue is for me a playful and fairly direct conduit to friends. Sure there is a rather shallow tone to just paying tokens for contact information, but should we focus on success ratios rather than potential? Believe me some of the IILWY users have massive friend potential.

Cool Tools
IILWY now makes use of images and flash in a very effective way in order to engage its members. We all seem to be about choices these days and the site offers substantial customization at the user's finger tips. The addition of news and chatter makes the service homier and will keep users engaged for longer obviously. My only suggestions would be to include more and better backgrounds and other customization tools for users. The current ones are fairly limited and simplistic but then there is plenty of eye candy within the profiles and in the news too. An IM or chat module would also make for better real time communication too.
Conclusion
IILWY is a very cool site if simplistic. I reviewed the site some time back and the user base and function have been increased dramatically. I predicted then that this "candy store" dating warehouse would go viral and it appears to have caught something now. I have under reviewed this startup here because as I said Muhammad has covered it very well. My focus here has been to illustrate a good site and to show how friends - really good friends online are in fact a reality. In all our collaborations and helpful reaching we often exemplify what friendship is. 8 months ago I would scarcely have felt comfortable mentioning a friend or a collaboration to review and acquire invitations to a startup. Now, one friend goes deep for the review and the other rushes for invitations for readers. This is Web 2.0 - up front, transparent and as it should be. So, check out IILWY and tell me if I should have bid on this contest below.

What would you have bid?
