Finally, with Flauntr we have an online alternative to photo editing freeware you have to download, like Gimp. Don't get me wrong, free alternatives to the expensive Photoshop are great whether they take up space on your hard drive or not. But using a Web 2.0 platform to deliver a quality option without the space drain is even better.
Flauntr offers three solutions for your photo editing needs: PhotoStylr, PhotoEditr, and PhotoProfilr. Each one offers unique solutions for editing your photos according to specific needs and uses. All three are free to use, and can be selected as needed under one login.
Flauntr offers no real social aspects to its service. It does offer a sleek look and simple Web 2.0 interface, as well as a much needed service. Flauntr even offers a simple way to customize your photos for use on any social network as your profile picture, promising automatic compatibility with each one.
PhotoEditr is the most basic of the three photo editing options. It allows you fix a variety of simple picture flaws, like red eyes or unwanted blur an focus issues. All you have to do is click the “Get Picture” button, find the picture you want on your hard drive, upload it and PhotoEditr gives you easy ways to fix minor flaws.
PhotoStylr offers a few more handy tools. You can use this editor to add special effects, modify backgrounds, insert light effects and other cool additions. You can even do simple colorizing and textures to make your photos more unique.
Last but not least is the PhotoProfilr editor. With a few siple clicks you can upload any picture you want to use as your avatar or profile photo on any social network, and PhotoProfilr will automatically size it and make it compatible with your social network of choice.
Flauntr offers a much needed service in the photo editing niche, in an easy to use and digest format. Sign up is completely painless, taking only a few simple clicks. There are no confirmations to mess with or profiles to tweak. I plan to keep Flauntr in my bookmarks to use when I want to edit a photo without going offline.
